Our client is an established multi-plant automotive parts manufacturer and this a new senior position that will be embedded in the engineering group product development team. The position reports to a Senior Vice President of Engineering.
Responsibilities: (not limited to)
The APM will lead complex enterprise level projects while in DIS but also be involved with each team at a coaching level ultimately to achieve project goals within designated constraints. To do this the APM is expected to use a high level of knowledge and experience in blending Agile development with traditional PM principles and molding the culture into the right balance of skills/controls
Knowledge Base (not limited to)
- Bachelor’s degree in one of engineering, mathematics, computer science or electronics. Additional degrees are a plus.
- Effective interpersonal skills; mentoring, coaching, collaborating, team building.
- In-depth knowledge of business needs, able to establish customer trust and confidence.
- Eight years plus experience in project management with Agile methodologies, PMI-ACP or equivalent.
- Sufficient technical skill/background to provide leadership to development teams, assess complex project tasks and risks.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, experience interacting with key stakeholders from design level to executives.
- Creative problem solving while maintaining a big picture view.
